All behavior articles use positive reinforcement (Clicker) techniques.  You and you dog must have a good understanding of the Clicker prior to attempting the behavior articles I have listed below.  Read and understand how to use the clicker and work with your dog as described in this article Clicker Training for Serious Students and Trainers by Gary Wilkes.

Note: Do not use Positive reinforcement (Clicker) training principles to supplement training with correction/compulsion-based training methods such as with a choke chain, prong collar or shock collar.  Two completely different methods when used together will confuse you dog.  Positive reinforcement (Clicker) techniques allows the dog to find the solution to a problem, essentially training themselves rather than being shown the solution as with correction/compulsion-based training methods.

Clicker Training for Serious Students and Trainers  Author’s Note: If you are serious about learning clicker training, this is a good place to start. Treat the articles the way you would a “how-to” book and .....gasp.... actually do the projects. The quickest way to fail at this very easy-to-learn method is to .....another gasp.... spend your time thinking and not bothering to actually do anything. There is nothing in here that can’t be duplicated with a little bit of time and commitment. I had already clicker trained several thousand dogs before I ever began writing instructions. If your dog doesn’t adapt instantly, get someone else’s dog and plunge ahead. When your skills develop, you can come back and teach your dog in a setting where there is only one true beginner -- your dog. ...Gary Wilkes  www.clickandtreat.com

Training Games

bullet 86 Things to do with a Box  This training game is derived from a dolphin research project in which Karen Pryor and others participated, “The creative porpoise: training for novel behavior,” published in the Journal of Experimental Analysis of Behavior in 1969. It has become a favorite with dog trainers. It’s especially good for “crossover” dogs with a long history of correction-based training, since it encourages mental and physical flexibility and gives the dog courage to try something on its own.
